About Us

About HEAH

HEAH – pronounced “here” – reflects our core belief: we are here – fully present and committed to supporting families and learners on their education journeys. HEAH stands for Hub for Education, Access & Healing, representing our dedication to providing a welcoming space that fosters learning, inclusion, and restorative support.

Where we are:

Opening our doors from September 2025 at Anerley Works (SE20), HEAH: Open Routes for All Learners CIC is a referral-only, trauma-informed alternative provision offering creative, coaching-led learning pathways for young people aged 8–16.

We support learners who need something different – whether they’re out of school, emotionally overwhelmed, home educated, or waiting for an an EHCP – by creating safe, structured, and empowering spaces to grow.

Our Learning Hub

Our new base at Anerley Works is a calm, welcoming environment where young people can take a breath, build trust, and explore learning on their terms.

We offer:

  • Arts Award (Discover to Gold): Accredited creative qualifications that build confidence, voice, and identity through the arts.

  • AQA Unit Award Scheme (UAS): Flexible, bite-sized accreditations in life skills, curriculum topics, and creative exploration.

  • Creative Confidence Pathway: A regulation-first, movement-based route that prioritizes well-being, connection, and growth.

  • Functional Skills Support: Support in English and maths that centers emotional safety, confidence, and readiness.

  • 1:1 Coaching & Therapeutic Mentoring: Tailored support for learners navigating anxiety, trauma, or re-engagement with education.

Our Lifelong Learnng Hub 16+

At HEAH, we are proud to be a lifelong learning hub, dedicated to supporting individuals at every stage of their educational journey. We are deeply committed to fostering continuous growth and exploration, recognizing that learning is a dynamic journey that extends far beyond traditional school years. Our holistic approach is meticulously designed to meet learners precisely where they are - whether that's emotionally, physically, or developmentally. This means understanding their unique needs, challenges, and aspirations. We achieve this by creating a safe and adaptable environment that not only supports academic progress but also nurtures well-being, builds resilience, and encourages self-discovery. Our flexible pathways and personalized support ensure that every individual feels secure enough to explore their potential, grow confidently, and thrive at their own pace.

Our Family Offer - Arts Award, Fitness, cooking, support & Advocacy

We believe in empowering the whole family. In addition to our Learning Hub offer, HEAH hosts two weekly online sessions that are open to all families - no referral required, available UK-wide:

       1.  HEAH Arts Award Programme for Home Educators: A flexible, creative pathway for home-educated children and young people (aged 5-25) to explore and develop artistic talents, gaining nationally recognised Arts Awards with expert, trauma-informed, and coaching-led guidance.

       2.  Family Fit Club: Short, accessible movement sessions to support well-being and family connection.

       3.  Family Kitchen: A relaxed space to explore food, life skills, and creative cooking together.

       4.  Support & Advocacy: We work closely with parents and carers, providing essential support and guidance. We also collaborate with social workers and family support services, offering a holistic approach that includes advocacy to help families navigate the educational landscape and ensure their child's needs are met.

What Makes HEAH Different?

  • Trauma-informed, relationship-led practice

  • Coaching-first ethos - not behaviorist or punitive

  • Maximum of 6 learners per group session

  • Flexible hybrid delivery (online + in-person)

  • Inclusive, creative, identity-affirming curriculum

  • Parent partnership built into every stage

  • Led by registered social workers, educators, and personal development coaches

We don’t “fix” learners. We help them feel safe enough to grow.

Who We Work With

We collaborate with a range of professionals and organizations to provide comprehensive support:

  • Schools and SENCOs

  • Local Authorities and Inclusion Teams

  • Education Welfare Officers

  • Other alternative provisions

We support learners who may be:

  • Experiencing emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA)

  • Awaiting or recovering from exclusion

  • Navigating anxiety, sensory needs, or trauma

  • Home educated and in need of external support

  • Not thriving in traditional learning environments

All referrals are reviewed with care and followed by a consultation to ensure the fit is right for the learner and family.

Where Are We?

Main Base: Anerley Works, South East London (SE20)

Online family fitness and cooking sessions: Available UK-wide

We offer a flexible weekly timetable, tailored to each learner's needs and capacity.

Our main base is on the first floor, and we do not currently have lift access. If this presents a barrier, we will always do our best to offer online or off-site alternatives where possible.

At HEAH, we are committed to meeting learners where they are - emotionally, physically, and developmentally - and will work with you to find a format that feels safe, accessible, and supportive.

Referrals Now Open

We are now accepting professional referrals for learners aged 8–16, ready for September 2025.
